yummy, apple cider
I love the little holiday markets that pop up around New York during this time of year. Fun knickknacks abound! And they always have the best hot apple cider…mmm! So when I strolled by the one at Columbus Circle on my way home the other night, I just had to stop and get a cup. Warmed me right up!
This recipe encourages me to bust out my crockpot to make my own and have my apartment filled with that wonderfully delicious smell:
1 1/2 cups apple cider
1 1/2 tablespoons caramel sauce
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Combine ingredients in sauce pan. Heat over medium-high heat, stirring constantly until cider is hot and caramel has melted. Pour into mug and enjoy.
You can spread the cider love with these that i saw on frolic!

christmas card cheer
I love that time of year when you start seeing little red and green envelopes in your mailbox. For a brief moment, you forget the chill in the air and have that warm fuzzy feeling inside because you know someone wants to wish you happy holidays. Send your loved ones fun vintage Christmas postcards or download images to create your own!
These kinds of cards remind me of the kind we used to get as a family when I was a kid. Even though that was in the 80s-90s, it still has that retro style to it. My parents would always let me tear open the envelopes and we taped the cards around the frame of our french doors leading out onto the deck and what didn’t fit there was taped to the edge of the bar counter. Okay, so not the most chic way of displaying, but that was our tradition, and I loved it.
For those of you who love your modern times, I heart these Christmas cards from Kate’s Paperie. Just check out those yummy designs!

santa, baby
For the centerpieces, all it takes is a variety of cylindrical vases wrapped in festive gift paper. If you’re eco-chic. this website has some fun giftwrapping options that are tree-free. Add some faux snow or glitter if you’re feeling extra crafty.
The fabulous hostess with the mostess suggests cosmopolitans to serve for your cocktails. However, I enjoy my booze, and along with the cosmos I’d serve peppermint martinis.
Santa, baby, hurry down the chimney tonight.
